The normal value of laboratory of Biochemistry test


Glucose test 

  • Fasting:  60–110 mg/dL.
  • Glucose PP :  90–140 mg/dL
  • Glucose Random : 60–130 mg/dL

Glucose Tolerance Test: The GTT curve will be interpreted with the standard curves.


Liver Function test

Bilirubin

  • Direct (conjugated bilirubin) : up to 0.3 mg/dL
  • Indirect ( unconjugated bilirubin) : 0.1 to 0.6 mg/dL
  • Total Bilirubin : up to 1.0 mg/dL
Protein
  • Total Proteins Adults : 6.6–8.4 g/dL
  • Albumin: Adults : 3.5–5.0 g/dL
  • globulin : 2.5-3.5  g/dL
  • A/G ratio : 1.21-1.5/1 

Enzymes

  • AST (SGOT) : 5 to 46 IU/L at 37°C.
  • ALT (SGPT)
    • Male :  13 - 41 IU/L 
    • Female :  10 - 31 IU/L
  • Alkaline phosphate (ALP) :40-125 U/L
  • Y- glutamyltransferase (GGT) : 10-30 U/L

Clotting factor :

  1. APPT: 22-34 seconds
  2. PT: 11–15 seconds.

Lipid profile values

 

  • Cholesterol Serum : 135–220 mg/dL
  • Low-density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL) : < 130 mg/dL
  • High-density Lipoprotein – Cholesterol (HDL): 30 – 60 mg/dL
  • Triacylglycerols (Triglycerides)
